I have been researching sediment transport in St. John, US Virgin Islands for 13 years.
I have conducted field research in coastal waterways from New York to Florida and on land in Illinois, Texas, Ohio, and Florida.
Currently, I investigate land use change throughout the tropics. I use field data combined with geospatial analysis (GIS) to create tools that can be easily understood and utilized both in and out of science. I place great emphasis on the dissemination of my research to the community where the research can be actively used.
